... no

you have to change the K frame to a VL one to use the VL steering

VB through to VH....(From memory) VK onwards mount spacing differs to the earlier ones, so it's a K-frame change as well as the intermediate shaft

K frame change would be different engine mounts? You could modify the mounts on the K frame if you are handy working with metal and use a VL rack with the intermediate shaft. I have a VS K frame with VL rack in my VC but running V6 engine soon to be supercharged V6 hopefully next week.

.. no, VB thru VK are all the same

the change happened on VL (when GMH also changed the floor pan and chassis rails)

spacing between rails is same obviously (other K frame swaps not possible)
but the shape of the rails from underneath up into the engine bay changed on VL (as did the shape of the floor)

VB through to VK K-frames have the same engine mount brackets.....VL (I think) through to VS V8 K-frame engine mount brackets are identical to VB to VK. It's only the 6 cyl VL (I think) through to VS engine mount brackets that differ, in this area. I've put a VB K-frame into a VS V8 and a VS V8 K-frame into a VL V8 before today :)
