Can you do it under warranty?

You can do what you want it's your car but it just means holden won't be liable for any aftermarket part you put on the car. i.e no different to parts like lowered springs,shocks,brakes,exhaust,headers,hi-flow cats even your intake system.

just buy the induction kit and dont be cheap. i'v got it on my v6 and i made my old lady put a smilar product on her xr6T,and its worth it.
i wouldnt stuff around with pipes etc when people have put time and money into developing a product to do just what u are after.
Quick question for people with LS1/LS2's. have u noticed any diffrence at the drags? is your engine louder when u accelerate(full throtle/deap rumble)? have u reduced your fuel consumption(when u drive normally?
Well as a V6 owner i can say yes to all of the above.

Another problem with your system would be, it is just sucking in all the heat coming off the road in summer as well as the exhaust fumes from the car in front! Spend the cash and fit a proper system!
