horn issue

hi guys I have changed my steering wheel and with a boss kit on a VP and there is only 1 wire from the boss kit for the horn and there ae connections on the button I have, is there supposed to be 2 wires in the boss kit?

it should only have one wire going to the back. the metal lip of the horn pad is the earth

Two wires on the boss kit horn button, one from the factory wire and the other from the button to earth (the boss) to complete the circuit.

sorry yea, its an afer market wheel, i tried plugging the single wire into the button and putting a wire from the other side of the button to a ground but still no luck :(

did you make sure the metal ring around the horn was touching earth

Try touching the factory wire directly to earth to test the horn and go from there.

mmm, havnt tried that, will do

i presume the earth is the pin that pushes in at the back when the boss kit is pushed on, yes it is touching this

ended up being faulty wire from the boss kit, so was easier to9 just get another boss kit, and works all fine now.

thanks for all help and input guys ;)
