How do I find my engine number ?

Where will I find the engine number on Series 1 Alloytech VE ?

It's underneath the motor, passenger side on a machined surface towards the gearbox.

So is it on a white sticker along with bar code ? I think that's it ?

The engine number on that sticker should be the same. But it's always best to check with the actual number, which is punched into the machined surface i was talking about earlier
