Your best bet is to check the code on the sticker on the side of the diff.

V6 - M78/75/76 which will have 3.08 gears, V8 will be M80 with 3.07 or 3.46 gears for auto and manual transmission respectively.

I am tipping its a 3.08:1, as I know most V6 VY's had a 3.07:1, Mine does,
and a Relatives 2003 V6 VY Berlina also has a 3.07:1
You will also need to change the PPK in the Dash settings

Yes it is a 3.08:1 out of a vx commodore and I am wanting to put a lsd centre in with 4.11 gears but need to know if it is a m78 or m80 so I get the right parts

It is a V6 automatic and the sticker only says 3.08:1 and 2 letters

If it’s the OEM diff still in it,
It should indicate the type on the compliance plate under the bonnet.

Not sure about the 2 letters you mentioned

One definate way to tell is pull the rear cover and read the numbers on the crown wheel.
