How low is too low for standard shocks?

Hey guys, looking to lower my SV6 sedan, i've spoken to a shop here in WA near where i live and they quoted me $490 for ultra low king springs on standard shocks. Are ultras too low for the standard shocks to handle? If so, how low could you go? SL, SSL? Cheers!

Yes it seem that as soon as you lower VEs even with SLs the shock will blow out quick. Just replace the whole lot and your cars future proofed.
