Hey guys I'm looking at spending some money on my ls1 currently in my vx ss, I was wondering what can be done to make it more responsive. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers

bit more info on the current state of the car

k's and current mods, also budget and auto or manual.

It's done 120ks 6speed manual havnt done anything so far about to do cam otr and tune

Oh it has stainless tri ys with 2 1/2 inch thru to 3inch exhaust with stainless coby racing mufflers

yup shes my daily but less used now because i car pool to work now, also going to do leads and plugs

My list would be

First
Exhaust and Extractors/headers
Short shifter
3.7 - 3.9 LSD
OTR and Tune

then later on cam , charger , turbo etc

Factory diff ratio with T56 transmission is 3.46:1

Go see Tony @ Steelie gears in Otahuhu. He'll sort it out.

I agree on the short shifter, Ripshift are generally considered the best however you can get a clone of ebay for 1/2 the price and they seem to be just as good.

I would suggest you talk to Wayne @ Protune in Manukau about header/exhaust and possibly a tune to suit. He specialises in the LS series engines.
