How to change chrome exterior trim

hey guy,

im wanting to change my chrome fender vents, chrome drl surrounds and the chrome on the grill to black this weekend. but first i need to know how to remove the chrome parts. does anybody know how to do that?

I would also know how to take off the chrome door surrounds... anyone?

By chrome door surrounds do you mean the chrome strip that goes around you drivers passenger and rear quarter window... If you do the it usually come off in five pieces...

Yep, I would remove that tacky chrome trim too. Looks acceptable on lighter colours and Grandpa's Calais but not an SS...
