How to get Chrome Handles like a Caprice

I've never wanted these but I'd be surprised if they aren't metal like the shifter nobs and inside door handles.

You painted straight over chrome without scuffing the chrome or applying a primer.....???

Pity it didn't work, However still makes me happy I forked out 9 grand flat for a low K WH II Caprice....it's the little things that make the difference. Better luck with the next coat of PRIMER & paint dude.

Can I suggest maybe painting the handles before putting them in the car? That way you won"t have to mask the S#!t out of everything, lol

lol good point, i didnt do that because i thought they might look alright all chrome, i was wrong. That's why I decided to paint them. I think I will just stick to the normal handles now. I just need to get the motivation to put them back on.

It's a real pain in the ass taking the trims off all 4 doors. lol
