Hi No Eye Deer,
I run a full synthetic in my engine I have found as recommended above keeps the engine clean. I don't change the oil every 5K however I do change the filter every 5k. I did oil analysis for four 10k changes after doing a couple of 5k changes. I found that changing the oil filter and using one of the premium oil filters keeps the cleanliness levels of the oil well within spec. Mine has done just over 207k and still sounds and looks sweet..... No oil leaks either, sometimes if you change from a mineral oil to a synthetic later in the engines life sometimes some small leaks appear. Synthetics tend to be a bit more searching, my experience anyway.

Good stuff. I was just wondering what people were using in the 3.6. I reckon just go with decent oil, (mineral) and change it every 5k. I dont know what my engine is like inside. Just reading of sludging issues on poorly maintained cars.

Thanks fellas.
Loved that flush with hose thread!!

Had too have a laugh thru the posts and the original one, its disiel oil you need too run in your motor, it contains more detergents too help clean your motor... Harley davidison reccommemends from 2007 models it as a oil too use in their bike motors.

Bursons brand 5w40 full synthetic. It isnt expensive, but motor runs quiet and have nothing but good things to say about it. Also, as recommended I also change my oil every 5000k
