How to remove engine Icon from dashboard

Recharged completely flat battery to find the engine icon light staying on. Tried the Trip button and then enter button as suggested on other posts on this site but that did not resolve the issue. Any ideas please?

Try disconnecting the battery again and see if that helps.
Otherwise, you'll need to scan the system to see if there is an actual problem.

Some fault codes need to be cleared with a decent scan tool. Others may require 10 or 15 start cycles before the ECM decides the fault is rectified.
Or, or there is an issue with the charge circuit or a battery fault.
