HSV E2 Voting thread

im 20 turning 21 on the 1/10 and i didnt like it at first but after going onto the hsv site and seeing the 3d model where you could change colour wheels and stuff i have since changed my mind and i like it now

Anyway, I don't like them because they looks too busy and too try hard euro.

Looks like the designers went to a car show, noted all of the bits on other cars they like and then threw them onto these.

The lights under the headlights are AUDI looking, the back and exhaust setup looks like the Aurion TRD as does the front black bit.

Not sure what happened whith thoes rims but they looks like they belong on a 70's concept car and finally the bonnet has been pinched straight from what was supposed to be the new Pontiac GTO (I think).

As I said, it looks too busy... clean, un-interupted lines is what floats my boat and these just don't. The original VE HSV's looks better in my opinion.

Senator and Grange look awesome, the rest leaves a lot to be desired...
Is anyone else with me, in the idea that not only should the wagon's tailgate be different, but the rear bumper as well? Pull up behind one and you can't see a difference, save for the badging...

I am just curious what age people are that don't like the new car. personally I like the thing so I am just a little puzzled why no one likes the bloody thing as well lol.

no-one I know likes it
my car mates....all of them despise it hate it with a passion
the **** ripoff wank lights on the front, the abysmal fake bonnet slots, the weirdo wheels,
the styling ripoff from the Aurion and Audi ; guys in the car club (Holden based) dont like it
mates and relos who have HSVs (E1 and prior) dont like it
no-one I talked to (in total over 20 people) likes it

why?
all basically see that HSV set out to make as much of a mess of the VE styling as they could.
They have not enhanced the HSV E series 1 models, the styling hitchs with E2 just makes a mockery
of what could be a good car.
And all see that HSVs marketing thrust to provide an alternative to the likes of M3s or
Sl500s or A8s has now been totally derailed by terrible styling

I was considering updating to an R8 tourer
but my missus when looking at the latest pics put it in 1 word.....
appalling :bang:

my opinion is its needs fixing, so i played.....

this is getting more like it

I'm not a fan of this thing for 1 reason:
1:The sedans look way too euro and soft, all HSVs are meant to look like their going 200kph even when parked.

That said though, the range has got one thing that may redeem it:

If all of the E2 range had this type of look (clean, low, and menacing), I'd gladly buy one in a second.

well done on the photoshop mate, that looks heaps better than the original. just for the record im 18 and i hate most of the e2 range, minus the senator. luckly thats what dad is thinking about getting soon so if he does get a new hsv at least its the better one:thumbsup:
