hsv enhanced ecu?

Hi there
I may have fried the ecu in my vs ss by trying to chip it without disconnecting the battery or computer and now have access to a hsv enhanced ecu, will the hsv one be plug and play? Is there a difference between a manual ss computer and a manual hsv computer?

same same. Just a different tune on the chip.

Thanks, So can I use the hsv memcal or will I have to use the ss memcal?

the hsv memcal will probably have a knock enabled but the stocko holden one doesn't so unless you have a knock sensor then no. That said, first thing most tuners on those old things do is disable the knock (too many false positives) and advance the timing based on the OE Holden maps which is the way I'd go.

just make sure it is also from a vs. the vr and vs have different security languages and are not interchangeable.
If not correct it will not start

Yeah it's from a vs clubsport and apparently the memcal has been tuned for big cams heads, stroker kit, big motor. So I'll have to run my ss memcal in the hsv ecu
