HSV remote for what?

G'day folks, my mate bought a VX yesterday and today we found a HSV remote control inside the car but we don't know what it would be used for.
I was thinking maybe a stereo head unit and he thinks it's possibly for a TV.

Any ideas?

WL Grange Sat Nav had similar by the looks of google.

Actually I followed the link of your picture, and it's for twin rear mounted LCD screens (DVD player, I assume).

Definitely for the sat navigation system. We used to install them at Preston Motors in new HSV's, Calais' and Statesman/caprice.
Long time ago now, but I reckon they were VDO Dayton units.

Thanks Jeda, the line I've underlined below (taken from Australian car review website) made me think it was for the twin LCD screens.
I'll let my mate know that it is definitely for the sat nav. Cheers.
