14’ VF HSV Maloo
Wondering if anyone’s had EDI put into their HSV VF when their car didn’t have it out of the factory.

Bought a standard Maloo rather than an R8 and would love EDI put in if possible

Emailed HSV and no reply.

Seen some aftermarket websites saying they can do it but I just want to see if anyone here has done it? Also $1400

Yep, I did it about twelve months ago from a Sydney based HSV dealer. $1300 from memory and hasn’t missed a beat since.

I made sure that it would be the exact same as a factory install (right down to the USB data logging port in the glovebox) before I went ahead.

Took a good three months or so for the specific loom to come from the manufacturer though unfortunately, but once it arrived it was around a half day job to fit/program it.

Ring Andrew Purcell at HSV customer service. He should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi mate,

The port is on the ‘roof’ of the glovebox area closest to the HVAC side. It was a bit difficult to get pics as the car is parked in a way which makes access to the passenger side a bit difficult, but hope these give you the idea :)

And as you can see the software is still loaded via CD lol, would have thought the plug may have done double duty for that job too..

No, EDI is HSV specific. Was standard in all Gen F cars and an option in all but GTS, GTS-R and W1 in Gen F2 where it was still standard

E3 senator
Hey guys, hoping someone could help me out. I just bought a e3 senator and it has the USB port and came with the analysis disc but when I press the edi button on the steering wheel it comes up with phone Bluetooth trying to connect. I’m not familiar with what hsv’s actually got it and if they all have the the usb and disc but still needs to be programmed but I thought having the edi button would mean it came out with ? Any help would be great
