write down both tyre sizes, and throw them into an online tyre size calculator. This will tell you if in case of a flat, if the spare is within similar diameter.
the other thing to check is to ensure your spare fits over your brakes.

Yeah i might have to do that. The brakes are the stock brakes and the spare will be the stock wheel so no issue with brakes only part is the size diff. I know obvs the 20" tyres have a thinner wall so the size should be similar but i want to be sure.

The HSVi 20 x 8 inch wheels normally come with 245 35 20 tyres diameter 680 mm
The stock 18 inch Sv6 wheels come with 245 45 18 tyres diameter 677 mm
So if you have 245 35 20 tyres on the HSVi wheels you can use the 18 inch SV6 wheel and tyre as a spare because the tyre is virtually the same diameter..
