Humming after oil change

I'm just wondering I was due Ito do a service on V6 VZ commodore so yesterday abit over due oil was very dark and engine was abit noisy so i did a service (Oil and filter) and the engine was nice and quiet the internet says 5w30 but I had 15w40 in the shed that I used this morning car on sounded great when it was cold I didn't notice any weird noise when ingot to work but tonight on my way home I noticed there is a humming kind of sound coming from the engine when I was almost home could this be caused by the wrong oil should I drain it and refill with the thinner oil??
Will this damage /blow up if I continue to use the oil in it ? Help!!

5-30 is what should be in there as the books tell you.

first number means outside temp, 30 the key word, those motors have smaller ports so 40 wont flow as fast also is it mineral or synthetic. I would change it.

It won’t blow up , but do another change and use 5W 30

Use a full synthetic also.
