HZ 308 to VK

Putting a 308 exchange from a 6cyl 308 is out of a HZ with a turbo pattern
Would this be suited for a VK?
Providing I have all the right VK mounts etc’
Appreciate any knowledge

sump is wrong for starters, VK 308s were all tri pattern (NOT Turbo)

I did this in my vk. A 308 from a HZ statesman but I already had a TH350 box which helped. You will need to source a commodore sump and pick up and passenger side commodore engine mount bracket will have the engine sitting crooked. When I bought the motor and box the motor came with a HQ style passenger side engine mount bracket that had been modified slightly to suit commodore. Instead of it's shape being the normal rectangle it was a trapezium shape. \__\ instead of l__l as the mounting bracket holes on the HZ block are in a slightly different position than the commodore block. I'll take some pics tonight when I get home from work and post em up. Tuff Mounts may even make a engine mount to suit hq style motor into a commodore but I'm not sure on that one maybe someone else might know.

Yes I wasn’t sure if the pattern tho sump in minor whether i would bother getting or can get one separate.

I’m now looking at a VK wagon 308 and all running gear and brakes into a VK 6 cyl sedan

Shouldn't be hard to get correct commodore engine brackets.....vb-vs v8 engine brackets are what you want
