I'm so over this car and all it's electrical problems.

This time;

Once I brake I lose dash lights and the right indicator comes on ( solid, not flashing. ) until I take my foot off the brake then it's back to normal.

Any suggestions?

I can't stand wiring.. Frustrates me way too much.

Only problem is, being an apprentice I can't afford a massive auto elecy bill.

Ok then well maybe look at the basics for now check the voltage while your car is running if its around 13-13.5 volts you may need a new voltage regulator

Hi.
Sounds like you have a bad earth.
Talk to an auto elec guy, explain the issue to them, he may already know the fix.
Get a quote of him, you never know you may get lucky and get the diagnosis/remedy off him for free, to do yourself.
While you are checking your voltage levels as GHOST suggested, also check the earth lead from the battery to the chassis of car, I know, a bit of a long shot, but it could be loose.

I'm not much good at electrics either but I would start by cleaning up all the earth connections you can find starting with the one close to the battery where it bolts on to the inside of the guard. Then have a look at your wiring looms inside the boot for the tail lights. If the light lenses or seals have been leaking the connections corrode etc. Some pretty weird things start to happen when the earth connections fail in the tail lights. It's really hard to get a good wiring set for the tail lights for these cars cos of the age and water leaks and there's a bit of a knack to repairing them so you may need an auto electrician at some point but you can do some investigating first. Good luck

what your describing , sounds like someone has fitted a single fillament bulb into a double fillament slot , this will cause it to try feed power back through the other part of the bulb to earth. Check to make sure all your bulbs are correct.Its an easy mistake to make when replacing a bulb.
