i cant get my standard vx to do anysort of standstill...

i have a standard vx acclaim 00 and i cant get it to do anysort of standstill, i can get it spinning slightly but no more than that, even with oil...
is it in the ecu that is stopping from poppin burnouts?

i have turned it off and it still does fark all
my mate with a vz does the same, with it turned off....

I dunno... seems to be common on anything VT+... Since I've never owned one I can't say any more :p

From memory there's a pretty good thread on it in the VT-VX forum, do a search on "burnout" in there.

i think it also has alot to do with the suspension set up, cause when you hav the foot on the brake and apply the gas you will find that it drags the back end of the car down, i hav found so far the only way to over come this is to get a fair bit more power...

but then it has no trouble at all going through to 2nd gear while im warming the tyres up at the drags...

so its hard to say for sure

Blown V6 VT commodore 5 speed
Hmmm i have a VT but its manual and i have no probs lighting the rear end up. Sometimes if lucky i can get both wheels going but i only ever smokem on my mates farm and when i need new tyres anyway. Just drop the auto and got the 5 speed!!! good luck tho

try turning the wheel to one side as u do it it brakes traction and works in my mums vt calasi everytime(shhhhhh don't tell her it's allways more fun in mums car lol):w00t: :w00t:
