Im Looking at getting maybe cold air induction and a K&N air filter..are they really what there cracked up to be?

that seems to be the best way to do things these days., VS S/C CAI with a K&N panel filter.

Before you race also make sure tyre pressure is good, your aircon is off + any other unimportant things that draws power from the motor. And keep your windows up for less drag and more aerodynamic.

have you got exhaust & extractors, these are always a good place too start, depending on your $$$

Ive got a 2.5" cat back system no extractors tho...Cost too much for me at the moment,

Tho i will be looking at them in the near future.

could always try get extractors from a wrecker, there bound to be cheaper

something you havent mentioned is what fuel u run...
it can really make all the difference in a tight run like you discribed,try run 98 ron with a good performance octane boost additive (if you already dont)

Normaly i run 98%, But my dad had borrowed my car and i doubt the tight ass would of put 98 back into it...he probly just put Normal unleaded into it..i hadnt even thought of that...

Hasnt shell brought out 100%?
