Why I wont take my street car to the track

Given the circumstances greenfoam mentioned, $30 and all, I can't think of anyone that I know who wouldn't go every day if they could. But, I would still be wary of cops etc. Trying to find a way (defecting or just pulling everyone over), of ruining the fun, even if it's legally. But I'd still be there all the time, I'd even take dad's landcruiser just for fun :)

drag racing is like skiing, you have a short run then back to the line and wait ages before before you get your next short run.

But with circuit racing, you stay on the track longer.

On 1/8th mile tracks you don't wait long between runs, you can do 15+ in 3 hours most nights

VN V6, nothing special
The problem with calder (close to me) is there are all quick cars, mine is slow and I would never hear the end of it lol..... BUT if there was an 1/8th mile near my house that was average priced id go....

Would feel like an eternity with my car doing down the 1/4,, but with an 1/8th i would only be a seconds behind most cars :D perfect! lol....

Yep, has been talked about for a while now, but the last I saw it has been canned for the time being.
Was supposed to be a full motorsport complex, but someone/club etc pulled out so now on backburner.

does calder park still do friday nights?

Yes, starts January 22 and will be on every fortnight!

i live near calder but as mentioned above, i think the cars there are kinda way outta my league, so id probly just bore everyone doin 15s, itd be fun to do it though, maybe in the future with something a little faster.

oh and ive also heard so many stories about waiting hours for scruitineering and how disorganised the place is, anyone have any experience there with the way the place is run?
