Ignition Drum

Today my ignition drum decided to go bust, she is all locked up and does not want to move.

Just wondering how much does it cost to get the drum replaced? as im sure it is seized.

new lock cylinder is about $60, plus time taken to remove the damaged one.

you mean when you put your key in it doesnt want to turn at all?

if thats the case then give the end (where the key goes in) a bit of a tap with a small hammer, then try again. If still no go then remove the trims around it and give the ignition barrel a few more taps around it, lol then shake the steering wheel while trying to turn the key usually works.
reason i say this is because you need to be able to turn the key to get the ignition barrel out

I just had mine repair about three weeks ago. Holden wanted 200 for a new barrell and labour. I had it fix at a local locksmith for $68 and i removed and installed myself.

yeah man stay away from the holden dealership on this one mine went last month holden qouted me 250 my local mechanic did it for 150.new barrel with key set me back round 70$

If you are still looking for ignition barrel and cylinder here is one on ebay if you are quick. I bought one earlier this week and it arrived in 2 days. It cost me $26 and then another $17 at my local locksmith to have it set for my key. I installed it myself, not too difficult at all.
