indicate to turn, hazards come on??

Just drove back from a mates and used the indicators to signal turn but instead of normal operation all of my blinkers flash like my hazards are on. Has anyone got any idea how to sort this out? btw its a vt calais and any help would be much appreciated.

yes

most likely the indicator stalk is at fault

relay is shared between the hazards and indicators

I'd say it's the indicator stalk.
Do your hazards work as normal?
Then again....it could be the hazard switch.

Yea hazards work fine i guess il replace the stalk.

Sorry....a bit confused.
How do you know the hazards work if you don't know where the switch is?

The hazard switch is above the mode button, but it requires the dash facia to be removed to access it.
You could try the contact cleaner, but I doubt if it'll work.

disconnect battery etc
watch the air bag and the warning indicator light

In other words....Don't touch any plug that's yellow.
All yellow plugs are related to the SRS.

When i push the hazard button on the dash hazards come on all the blinkers flash, and the same thing happens when i use the indicator stalk.
