Yesterday I noticed that when I used my indicators ..as well as the usual sound..I can hear another clicking sound coming from the back of the car..

I am guessing its a relay.. anyone know if its a problem or just a VE "thing"?

I didnt have the radio on by the way so I dont think its any type of bleed through into the stereo..

Thanks

definitely not just a ve thing.

stereo might not be on, but you can still get feedback through speakers if something aint right.
wack indicator on and go sit in the back to see if you can get a better idea on where its coming from.

you still under warranty?

I have had 2 VE's and noticed exactly that in both, so just a VE thing im pretty sure, must be a relay back there.

Do you have a towbar????
The module for the trailer plug that gets the data from the canbus and turns it into an analogue signal for the trailer plug is stored behind a right hand panel in the boot and has a relay in it for the indicators which makes a clicking sound.

im not to sure about the ve's but some newer cars like the land cruisers, when a trailer plug is fitted it needs a special module which usually has relays in it. so if you have a trailer plug that might be what's making the noise

It's probably what they said above, but models with rear parking sensors also have speakers in the back for the beeps, i think i read that they are under the seats. Maybe the indicator click is coming through those ?
