Injuries & General Stupidity.

...So i went to BP bought 10 large band aids and went back to finish the job.

Okay so i ooh'd and ahh'd and laughed at alot of these posts so time for me to get in on 3 of my instances;

1) Riding home from school in year 8 went to jump the kerb and hit wheel on the gutter, face planting it into a gumtree, 9 stitched in bottom lip, ambulance trip, total concussion but apparently i had a conversation with the parent that was there when it happened and i was acting like there was nothing wrong, no anesthetic used when stitching

2) Underneath a vn commodore that was being taken for a wreck the next day (midnight at the time) but had a awesome sport exhaust on it that i wanted and the owner said if i get it its yours. Note: car is parked on a 30degree angle. So i chucked my trolley ( $25 special) under the side, jacked the car up (wheels also off) with the trolley and proceeded to shake and unbolt the exhaust, 2min later trolley drops, pinning me to the ground, jacking chassis line (just under door sil) pinned on my chest, left arm right next to elbow between the jack and chassis and exhaust pinning my head down.. kind of wierd feeling, was like oh wtf happened here, ok then.. then i started to panic, lucky a good mate at the time (of avverage build) was there... his own strength lifted the car sill off me and his gf pulled me by the legs out... so very lucky. conclusion: went back in the morning, early, arm in sling, stitches in arm, and got that ####en exhaust off... with stands

and 3) now the missus wont like this one... but.. for your enjoyment, Was out a party and had an ex and her friend rock up.. long story short, seized an opportunity with 2 individuals and proceeded to a house, where in which i went to join on the bed, taking shirt off below a metal ceiling fan and sliced lines across every one of my fingers... great start. mood spoiler.
...So i went to BP bought 10 large band aids and went back to finish the job.

Ah I've known of 2 people who died from not using stands, I'll never get under my car without stands, not worth it.

Few battle wounds from riding. Most recent one where I overshot a jump and fell on my hand, both fracturing and dislocating my wrist which required surgery. Just starting to recover now

Hmm, i got a couple.

1) Working on a cleveland trying to undo the water pump. Breaker bar suddenly let go, resulting in me smashing my right hand against the harmonic balancer, dislocating my pinkie finger.

2) Underneath my GF's pops ute doing a clutch change for him. Had the ute on ramps and was undoing the tail-shaft, suddenly i sneezed. Resulted in a nasty cut to my forehead where it found the bottom of said ute, and a big egg on the back of my head when i pulled it away in shock and found the cement below me.

3) We used to recover vehicles for the NRMA, one car we picked up, the LH rear door kept popping open. I thought it would be awesome to hip and shoulder the door shut. I ran towards the trailer, put my left foot on the side of it and hit the door, hard. My foot then slipped onto the trailer, under said car. This resulted in me free falling backwards, i ended up with a massive bruise on my leg from the side of the trailer, and a severe concussion from when my head hit the road. Apparently i was out cold and upside down for a few mintues.

4) Most recently, i'm a removalist by trade. Picked up a couch with another bloke, how-ever he went to walk off whilst i was still lifting. I slipped off the couch and managed to upper cut myself. Punched my 2 front teeth straight through my bottom lip.

Car clipped me on my motorbike and my boot slipped off, leg was caught under the bike sliding over the bitumen. ####ed my ankle up pretty bad too

Easy. Drunk off my face a few years back, walking on Collins Street. Tripped over myself, face first into the pavement.
Fractured Cheekbone.
Broken Scaphoid.
Black Eye for Days.

Now I make sure someone holds my hand when I stagger around the city.
