Connect it to the brown wire near the left strut tower. It has a little plastic connector on it.

What a waste of money, Get yourself a stage 2/3 cluster have a tacho done,
lol
If you can't feel when to change gears you shouldn't be driving,

Cheers

Dig this old thread out..yeah baby!!!!!
As above....^^^^^

There is a tachometer brown/red pick up wire under the dash that goes into the console.
Much easier than running a long ugly wire under the bonnet and then try to get it through the firewall.
.... Why a monster tachometer?
Because a sports steering wheel blocks the gauges.
Because my stereo and sub are so loud I can't hear the engine
Because my missis will know when to change gear without killing my engine ......
Because the green glow at night makes my ride evil.....

The Brown coloured tacho signal wire thats located in the engine bay on the passenger side near the strut tower is shown in the wiring digrams for VNV6, VPV6, VRV6 and VSV6. I know my VS has it there.
The wiring digrams all show that this wire is joined to the wire that goes to the tacho in the dash. - (its a Brown/red wire) .. This wire comes from the DFI module, it connects to terminal E on the DFI module, which is where the tach signal originates from ..
