If you have an iPhone you can instal a decibel meter app, if you do a reading at notch 30 volume on your stock system then again on your new speakers you can actually see if there is a measurable improvement for your hard earned dough. I just bought 6 sheets to do my boot to kill a bit of road noise/ drone so I can now measure it to see if it was $200 well spent of wasted.

iPhones, is there any thing they can't do

I'd be interested in the results with your boot. Are you doing that to cut road noise into the cabin? ie not for car audio purposes

Mainly for road noise but I will do the bottom of the parcel shelf where the Subs are too, I wanted a sheet of Mass Loaded Vinyl for the entire boot floor but can't get it here so will use the dynamat, im doing the spare wheel well, each side wheel hub, under parcel shelf and then either boot lid or boot floor. I will post the results and photos so people will know what to expect from it. I can put up with the noise around town but I do a lot of long country drives and it can be annoying with that noise, then stereo gets turned up to cover it and then I can't hear the radar detector.

I've gone through 2 bulk packs in my car and can tell you that 1 piece around the speaker isn't going to do much. If you cover the door skin then less road noise will get in and if you cover all of the holes it'll turn the door into an enclosure so the speakers will sound better. Why would he need some for the tweeters?

OP if you're not keen on a bulk pack then just buy a few sheets to cover up all the holes.

Dynamat sell speaker kits of 2 pieces 10"x10" for this purpose, considering sound bounces (like echo and sonar) dynamat will direct all the sound from the speakers outwards which will make a huge difference, similar with the iPhone speakers thing I mentioned earlier.

Bluetooth files between devices.
Remove and replace a battery.

among other things lol

Bluetooth, that's what email is for (my iPhone bluetooths to my cars stereo which is all it has to do), how many spare batteries to you carry around in your pocket, my case is a spare battery. One thing it can't do is get viruses like my old android that ended up sending SMS porn sites to people in my contact list.

Mate I've done what you're talking about the first time I put dynamat in and I barely heard a difference. Having dynamat on the door skins will keep the music in and road noise out. Putting it only around the speaker will minimise some vibration from that area.

Not really a spare battery issue, my friends have had the battery fail and then have to send it off to Apple to repair and it took a month if they were lucky, my battery fails, it's 30 minutes buy new one at shops go home swap it over and done.
Also any phone can get viruses it can be as simple as opening a link in a text message.

The bluetooth feature while seldom used has proven handy as it works when my 3G signal hasn't worked.

Anyway this is very off topic i was just taking a friendly dig at the what iPhone can't do comment. as long as you like your phone :)

Upgrading the speakers alone mate isn't really worth it, the standard headunit is horrible!!!
