I just bought that JVC headunit. Got it for 900 from JB. I did buy a stack of other stuff too though :)

There goes my weekend.

Yeah I have steering controls. I'm hoping stinger have something to suit. Hopefully I'll be able to get it tomorrow.

Hoping to get the generic plug but there probably isn't much point because I've run heavier gauge wire through all the door grommets and have been cable tieing all the factory wiring out the way.

I'll post back how it's all gone early next week...

The AVX1 Headunit is easy to fit if you install it upside down.

On my Series 1 VX installing it up the right way involved modifying the back of the factory bracket (The cutout in the back of the bracket isn't symmetrical and the outputs on the headunit stop it from seating back correctly). If the cutout was symmetrical it would be easy as.

I managed to cut it out using a handpiece with some burrs while still in the car. Taking the bracket out would require dismantling WAY too much of the dash.

Now it will take tomorrow to finish the install and put my car back together....
