G'day all

Got my dads VL, the head unit won't work and neither will the left speaker. I'm looking at a new system now, any body have any idea on how to pull this baby apart? Also, where would you put the rear speakers? Are they easy to install?

Cheers,
Matty

Is it the origional head unit?

I have done 3 over the years and all were the same.
If so the only way is to remove most the dash starting from the bottom upwards. The origional Eurovox units have 2 anti theft plates screwed to the unit so they could not be pulled out from the front.
I can post pics or email if you like so you can see what holds the head unit in place and how to remove dash.
Cheers

How do you get the head unit to fit flush with the dash?

It looks dicky with the after market unit sticking out
