Just started happening the other day, every known again my horn will go off randomly. Just then i was called from the office because my horn was stuck on, even though i had not been in the car or near it for hours?

very confusing and iritating :bang:

Mate with a heading like that it could be open slather on you :p random horn:rofl::rofl: - I had a good chuckel anyway......Sorry - is funny:)

But the real issue - I'd say it has to do with the security on the car.

When I got a new key cut for my VZ and used it to unlock the car without getting programed to the BCM the alarm went off - (11:30pm xmas eve - not popular I can tell you).

So I'd say the body control module is playing up.

That's just my guess.

Yes but this is very different to my alarm, infact when i went to open the door to stop the horn from going the alarm went off also! (My remote wasn't working so i had to unlock the door manually)

possibly the barcode sticker with a metallic back that sits on the steering coloumn behind the horn pad, it peels half off and touches the back of the horn pad, the excessive cabin temp due to being parked in the sun causes the adhesive to soften and the metallic back to bridge the gap and hence make the horn go off

Another possiblility

I have a similar type of problem.
While driving if I turn off the headlights my alarm goes off, horn + flashers, but the car still runs.
I have to turn off and restart the car.
any ideas any one? car is a VT

I had exactly the same prob. Horn goes off, remote wouldn't work, had to use key, alarm went off and had to take the relay out to stop it. I am going to try taking the horn pad off and removing the sticker. Have you sorted yours yet? I'm keen to know.

Went and removed horn pad, sure enough curled up sticker. Only took 10 mins. Easy just follow instructions from other threads.
