Is the power antena module the same between VL and VN?

Power antenna has never workd in my VL Calais. The mast was snapped so the rope just comes out and hangs over the side of the car. The motor still works fine so i dont want to change to an after market module. what i want to know is. Is the module the same between VL and VN? because i can get a genuine replacement mast and rope assembly for VN to VY but cant find one for VL. Has any one had the two side by side to compare? thanks

Go on eBay. Type in VL aerial and there's 2 different rope and masts for sale for $45 or there abouts
