Greetings

I tend to read the forums more than I do post, and I was browsing through the unmarked police thread which caused me to question our car. I purchased this VZ Commodore not long ago for my wife from an auction, the car didn't come with steel 16" rims though like the unmarked cars floating around the place though.

Anyway, here are some pictures.

Did the car have books when you got it from auction?

9C1 as the build option code on the build plate. That will tell you if it's an ex cop car :)

Ok, thanks - were is the build plate?

Should be on the front radiator support - under the bonnet by the left hand headlight.

My 05 VZ is an exec abd has - 114 code.

I once had a VT Commodore that had Services SA in the manual as the previous owner. That as a marked Police car, it also had extra cabling under the hood for the sirens. The roof of the car had a faded number imprint for the Police helicopters to identify it and that didn't have incremental speedo, why? Because they replaced it - the dash is often replaced.

Like I said in my original post, I was reading this thead here: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/general/75811-how-spot-undercover-police-car.html and saw this in that thread here: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l313/troyrulz007/img_8947copy.jpg

Thats interesting didn't know they were in 2 km/h increments makes sense though.

I noticed on a RTA vehicle history check I did yesterday on a car I am keen to buy that it tells you whether the car was previously a goverment vehicle.

That will cost you $18 in NSW though.
