Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knows if this lpg system is compliant. I believe you need it checked every ten years and they mark it somehow.

I presume that the 08 on the little badge signifies it was inspected and approved in 2008?

Hoping someone here knows something I dont.

Thanks in advance

Very sure they have to be tested every 10 years.
I bought a 1995 EF Falcon in 1997 with factory gas......traded it in, in 2009.
I spoke to the dealer I traded it to....said he had a buyer for it, but he had to get the tank tested for the road worthy and I'm sure
he said it was 4 years over due.

Looks like it hasn't been tested since 93 or could be 99. Not sure what that plate is but doesn't look like it refers to a testing date. Hard to say really they don't usually mark on the LPG tank every test just the test it got when it was installed. LPG systems have to be tested every 10 years. When you buy a car with LPG the seller should provide you with a gas certificate which is valid for 3 months from date of testing. You cannot get a car transferred to you without it.

The tank has to be tested at ten year intervals, the rest of the system does not, but will be inspected as part of a general roadworthy inspection. The tank is meant to be removed and pressure tested while submerged in water to check both for leaks and the amount of expansion that occurs when under the test pressure. If the tank has been tested it should be marked on it somewhere. The original stamp is the date of manufacture and the date from which the first test interval is measured from.

If the fittings on the ends of the Copper lines are removed, the flares are meant to be remade i.e. not simply refitted. That may mean replacing the lines.
