Well yesturday I went out, bought a head unit, front speakers, and all the soldering gear... $370 later, I have finally connect all the wires for the head unit (after blowing a fuse by touching the earth with the power). However the particular head unit I got's mounting bracket doesn't fit in the dash, but without the mounting bracket it's a little bit loose even with the fascia thing to cover up the hole that's left (it's only a single din HU).

Hope I've got all the terminology right... still tired af

I had same issue as the Alpine cradle was a fraction too big. Just pad the sides of ur unit and inside the hole where it sits with stick on velcro strips. It wont move and easier to take out if needed.

seeeee :D :D

oh and btw, I pushed mine in about the midway point (bit wider there) then pushed it up.

shame you didn't aeropro though mate, makes replacing it with the stocko or even a different HU down the track quite literally plug n play.

I bought an Aerpro mounting kit and facia and 2 aerpro harnesses had the job done in just over an hour , including hooking up steering wheel controls . Saves a lot of stuffing around and its all plug and play and no soldering .

Sony's are a different story lol, but at least the holden harness protects your existing wiring
