I've just bought a 2011 Omega..anything special I need to service?

I've just bought a 2011 3.6 L. Omega model commodore....is there anything special I should check out. It's self-check says all is OK/

Yours must be a 3 litre unless it's LPG, which makes it a 3.6 litre as you're saying... Provided it's been serviced all it's life, and you continue to service it every 10,000km, you should be okay... Just keep an eye on the timing chain as they can need replacing, even when well maintained...

Buy a battery voltage tester. Topdon or a Bluetooth Century one.

Low voltage conditions on VE will cause assorts of headaches and false codes as the ECM rations power.

V6 do the PCV mod show in the How To section.

Change the oil every 5000.
Use diesel oil of the same grade (5W-30 or 5W-40). No one does changes when they should and engines are gunked up. The extra detergents in diesel oil will slowly work away at the grot in there.

Filter changes even more regular.

Once plenty of filter and oil change cycles have been done and you are confident it’s all an in there, use normal petrol engine oil.
