Cheers! Could have been a lot worse, I was on the highway doing 100 at the time. I must have managed to wash off a lot of speed!

How much is it insured for?

If they don't write it off (they seem to be doing this with a lot of barely damaged cars these days) should be easy enough to fix.
Bumperettes are dime a dozen these days, its easy to get to the damaged panel via the removable plates/panels in the tray.

Good luck with it mate :)

It's insured for $5k, it's bent along the spot welds behind the tail light. I'll find out tomorrow when I go get it assessed, one way or another.

Got the quote for repair back today, $5022.60. So, fair bet I'm going to be looking for a new ute shortly. Shame, really.

Yeah, didn't even have tools in the back at the time. Might have helped, might not. Once I get the final ok from Shannons, ill start shopping for something else. Diesel 4wd, probably.

I was about to say I have my VS ute up for sale but its a little bit higher in price and prob not what you want anymore.
Shame about the ute, but thats how insurance companies work. You could always wait till it comes up at pickles or manhiem, buy it and fix it up again.
Best of luck with the shopping.

I get first option to buy it back if its written off, but I think I'd almost rather something different. Just spoke to the insurance company, I should know by Friday. Already have my eye on a Rodeo.
