According to Sky News even senior ministers are openly admitting that Gillard's goose is cooked. She only has weeks to live (politically).

One would really think this lot in now would just call an election and get it all over and done with, rather than hanging in 'till the bitter end when they will mostly if not all be gone anyway.
Just take a look at Australian State politics.......People, even traditionally left wing folk have at last woken up to themselves and bumped these fools that are not professional in any way shape or form, and that's where the Federal lot will go also.

All this Labor government has done, and is doing is ruining what's left of any economy we have, and the longer they pretend it's all going to get better the worse it will get. Look at housing sales, look at retail sales, look at anything......People have no confidence to purchase.

Unless the GG gets off her backside and does something the election can't come soon enough.

Anybody reckon our busted arse treasurer is going to trot out the tried and tested class warfare, politics of envy rhetoric on budget night?

He might announce some more compo from this idiotic carbon tax for the 'battlers'.

Christ I hope these fools get the shaft soon. I have the pleasure of getting no carbon tax compo and my private health rebate scrapped. And I strongly suspect that only a very well targeted group of taxpayers (read high income earners) will also be footing part of the bill for the national disability insurance scheme.

As a consequence of the Whitlam Government dismissal, the GG no longer can simply dismiss an elected Government, unless criminal or corrupt behaviour is demonstrated. Much as we might hate the fact, stupidity, incompetence and dishonesty don't meet those two criteria. Therefore, the GG has no grounds at present on which she can act to dismiss Gillard's circus.

GG can still dissolve both houses and trigger a double dissolution election. But it requires a deadlock on a vote.
