yeah thanks mate, i just rang ol' wise father and he said to try injector cleaner first. but before i do anythign im letting my car sit until its cold then checking for any visible (and smellable) petrol leaks around the injectors.

its not that cold in geelong yet. and my car proved me wrong and did the same after work, where it was sitting in 30 degree heat all day, so its not just when its cold weather.

how long has it been doing it....seems as though everyones been having fuel problems in the last month, now my bet is,that it's the fuel itself,i don't know about where you are,but here in hobart they change the octane rating, one for summer and one for winter, and i have a sneaking suspicion that they have changed over early this year......thats another possibility, but i don't know if they do this in your area like i said.

Another thing to check is the fuel pressure regulator. If that is faulty then it will bleed back and not hold constant pressure until all the lines pressurise and it evens out. Similar to a garden retic system if one of the solenoid valves leak, the sprinklers cough and splutter until all the pipes have constant pressure.

Mobil is dodge...
Ive always had nothing but problems with Mobil, even the synergy premium stuff.

I wouldnt recommend it for my worst enemy's lawnmower.

My VN loves Shell, either ULP or 98 premium.
