K&n Filter

Hey All, Just brought a K&N Filter and i was just wondering, included in the box are 2 adheisive strips? What are they for? I was reading the instructions and it said something about include supports..
Now i would have thought that it would have been as simple as just removing the old one and putting the new one in its place?
Can someone fill me in?

as far as i know you just slip the new one in

the strips might be for seating of filter in box (ie under filter to stop vibration or something)
never heard of the strips tho

mm thats what i thought! my initial thought was packing material, but then i thought about the adheisive side! Im prolly juz gonna slide it straight in n see what happens! Cheers!

The strips r 4 Nissans as the same filter fits. OK
