I hope so jest.

Now onto this afternoon's efforts:

- Starter/alternator? Cover removed.
- Replacement gasket fashioned.
- Replacement cover cleaned and ready to be put on.

To do:

- change oil filter.
- put new cover on.
- tighten everything back up.
- fill with oil.

As of 2 minutes ago, everything is back together and running

Feels good doing all of it myself. From diagnosing > purchasing replacement parts > disassembling > reassembling.

Now i must ride.

Three tips for a new rider from an experienced rider:

Never forget that every prick is out to kill you;

Never assume that they've seen you;

Even if you're in the right legally, broken bones and gravel rash still hurt.

Most important thing to remember is: Have fun!

I remember my first bike, i neglected the crap out of it, learnt what and what not to do, now i have my new GSXR and it gets pampered, even lives on a carpeted area in the shed

Dropped the bike off at Suzuki Springwood this morning to change the fork seals and put on a new front tire.

Next is new sprockets and chain, then it will be perfect until i need another bike = )
