knock sensor location

where is it? got code 43. anyone know rpughly what a new sensor will cost me. cheers

I`ve been told that there in a hard to get at location beneath the exhaust manifold, not sure on cost.

Knock sensors are located on the block right near your engine mounts.

Drivers side block under exhaust headers, only HSV's had them stock, yous must have had one put in?

also note that it screws into the block coolant jacket so when you remove it all your coolant is going to drain out. have a look around, check ebay. you should be able to get em cheaper then that.

Check the the pin connector is in nice and tight. You have to pinch both sides to get it off and on.

V6 yes.... afaik v8 no.

true every V6 from VP-VS im pretty sure had one.. maybe VN-VR one of the two. but only HSV enhanced V8 had them

Haha I was thinking of the CAM sensor for some reason when I said only VR's.
