Just wanted to check if anybody knows the thread pitch and bolt size of the L36 V6 knock sensors.
The sensor will bolt slightly loosely into a 9/16" UNF nut, but that bolt size won't fit into the engine block.
It's tapered so probably NPT, around 1/2" and 18 TPI. But I'm unsure.
My local nut&bolt store told me to go to a plumbing store. Not particularly helpful.
Looking to get adapters made for the Bosch 2 wire knock sensors. I just want to get a positive ID on this bolt size before I talk to a machinist.
