I read some older posts about the horrible sound the lifters in the LS1 5.7 ltr make.Mine sounds terrible when i pull up at traffic lights and im glad i cant hear it when on the open road. Was wondering if theres anything new out there yet to stop this terrible noise.

lf the oil you put in is correct the next option is new lifters pushrods and rollers.

yep, heads off for lifters on an LS, it's not that bad of a job.

I did a cam and lifters in an LS a couple of years ago and I reckon it still took me less time than a 304 which you can do heads on.

The LS is pretty modular.
