l67 cat pipe query

Hey guys

Is the cat pipe (from header to crossover) the same on ecotecs and supercharged 6's?

I have conflicting stories, and as i am needing to get one, i'd like to know what i'm asking for.

Well a factory L67 has twin cats and twin main mufflers and then joins into 1 pipe just before the rear axle and one more rear muffler next to the fuel tank. I think it is similar to the v8?

A stock ecotec joins into the cat with 2 pipes in, and 1 outlet, and just runs a single cat, pipe and muffler and then 1 more rear muffler next to the fuel tank.

So yes the cats are different

I suggest you poke your head under the car and see which set up you have.

Not true, I have hurricane extractors on my super6 running into a twin 2 1/2v8 exhaust, they did a bit of messing around at the exhaust shop but all good, talk to NOT_AN_ABBA_FAN he knows his **** and will set you up
