Just wondering if you can have the intercooler before the throttle body as apposed to having the plate inbetween the supercharger and block.

Well actually i know you can do it, just want to know what gain you would see, if any!

Thanks

There is no gain if you have a cooler pre charger because the intercooling is needed to cool the output aircharge from the charger. On an L67 the cooler needs to originate from between the charger and lower intake manifold.

Plenty of kits on the market now so prices are alot better then a few years ago

Could anyone who has the mace L67 intercooler (preferably the mini but any will do) tell me what they think of them and what kind of temp drops and reliability they give.
Cheers.

The mini work well if you're on a budget, with mail order tunes available now to suit. In regards to reliability, the mini are extremely reliably with their greater material thickness which makes up the core, plus a quality Johnston pump. If you're planning on running no more then a 2.9-2.8 inch pulley then it's cooling ability will suffice, any more then this and you'd have to consider a intermediate or A2A cooling kit.

Depending on the application the mini may very well be more then enough :)

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Steve

yeah you can have the throttle body where you said but there is a huge amount of wine from the charger.

this would help with the tuning tho.
