Guys i have a 2001 calais with an l67 supercharged! My question is as a rebuild on a l67 will cost more than $8500 and a secondhand stock 3.8 can be picked up for less than $2000, will the supercharger from the L67 go on a stock motor seemlessly?

Just need to swap the heads from your SC engine.

Well yes, the heads, and everything above as well as the accessory drives/pulleys etc but be aware that the L67 has a compression ratio of 8.5:1 and the stock ecotec is 9.4:1 which means it might not be to happy tune wise.

$8500 sounds expensive.

You could look for a 2nd hand L67, they do pop up now and then.

As above ^^^^

There is a fair few different internal items/spec/characteristics, they are SO different between a eg: L36 and a L67.

$8500 !

Tell them they are dreaming !

My nephew rebuilt his with parts from Mace, and it’s runs great,
After he didn’t put all the BS bolt on parts back on.

$8500 would about right. I was quoted over $6k just to rebuild my old Buick V6. That wasn't removal and fitted either.

IIRC it cost me over $1200 alone just to have my heads reconditioned.
