Hi all

Got an unusual one, I’m looking for some advice before I spend the money.

I have a Transit with a VS Ecotec and auto in it.
The motor is past it’s used by date and I’m toying with the idea of putting in an L67.

The clearance to the back and top of the L36 is fairly tight already.

The L67 obviously has a rear intake for the blower. It also looks taller in photos. But without buying one, I don’t really have any point of reference to see how much bigger it is.

Can anyone help me with some accuracy the difference in these sizes?
Specifically, compared to the L36, how much further back does the L67 intake sit?
And how much taller is it?

Thanks heaps. This forum has been an invaluable source of info for the previous conversion. Hopefully someone can tell me!

Not sure if you will find any measurements for it, might just have to search and look at some pics.
Overall height is very close as I know with engine cover on, they have the same bonnet clearance we found when fitting to an EH ute. The problem might be the back of the blower, as you said, might be tight or needing some modification.

Found some bare engine pics here to start -- https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/v6-supercharged-l67-engine-sold.215841/

Is yor Transit one of the models listed here on this site ? -- https://v6conversions.net.au/
You could ask them if their kits will let you use a L67 ?
