:rofl: Never had an issue with 320 rwkw. You just need to learn to drive.

i have issues with 300rwkw, im guesstimating its making 260-280rwkw at my current boost level, depends on too many factors to govern with a blanket rule, he may have crappy tyres.

Either way the OP specified no traction loss so this is irrelevant.

"officer discretion" means they can screw you over if they please as it's about as grey as it gets.

depends on the car, the driver and who they are sitting next too.

that doesn't stop me having a go but. why drive if you can't have a little fun :)

Stolen from another forum;

Road Traffic Act 1974:

Division 4 — Impounding and confiscation of vehicles for certain offences
[Heading inserted by No. 10 of 2004 s. 13; amended by No. 4 of 2007 s. 12.]
Subdivision 1 — Preliminary
[Heading inserted by No. 10 of 2004 s. 13.]

78A. Interpretation of Division 4
In this Division —
“approved” means approved by the Commissioner;
“circumstances of aggravation” means circumstances in which —
(a) the vehicle is being used to race another vehicle;
Road Traffic Act 1974
Part V Regulation of traffic
Division 4 offences
s. 78A
page 146 Version 09-o0-00 As at 22 Dec 2007
Extract from www.slp.wa.gov.au, see that website for further information
(b) the vehicle is being used in an attempt to establish or break a speed record;
(c) the speed, or the acceleration, braking or steering capability, of the vehicle is being tested or contested in any way;
(d) the skill of the vehicle’s driver is being tested or contested in any way;
(e) the vehicle is driven in a manner that causes smoke to come from one or more of the vehicle’s tyres or a substance on the driving surface; or
(f) the vehicle is driven in a manner that causes one or more of the vehicle’s driving wheels to lose traction with the driving surface;
“Commissioner” means the Commissioner

Basically, if they want to get you for SOMETHING; they will. Excess noise, 'Testing the vechiles acceleration' etc etc. Depends how much you piss off the Police officer as well.

like this one

(d) the skill of the vehicle's driver is being tested or contested in any way;

so people not confident with a reverse park could be technically booked? so driving uses no skills? any drive is a test of skill. WTF!

this place is a friggin joke. people do not give driving any credit in being a skill yet theres a daily rant on the road toll.

burn it all!!

/end rant.

Yeah... it seems that those 'laws' are really unclear.

WTF does (c) the speed, or the acceleration, braking or steering capability, of the vehicle is being tested or contested in any way; mean?

Does that mean if I take a car for a test drive and go around a corner I can get done? Because technically I'm testing the steering capability?

And the drive skill think, they should REALLY enforce that one more. They could just sit out the font of a bingo centre and give every pensioner a ticket as they pull out because in alot of cases being alive is testing their skills let alone driving, driving @ a constant speed, indicating at a sensible time and NOT 3.6 million km before their turn, etc.

But no one is every going to target oldies and thier driving, therer is too amny off them and the backlash would show in the polls for the political party that targets oldies the same as they target 'hoons'.
