Lights turn off when i lock the car.

Ok, so I went downstairs hooked it all up...wtf?! it only worked on lo beams.....turns out Toyota in all their wisdom switch their headlights with positives and use a common earth.

Now, if you look at it....instead of using a fused 12V source, cut the the headlight wire and send the 12Volt side to those wires and then hook the headlights them selves upto the wires that say radio acessories. Then it will only work when the lights are on.

If you are running through the same relay, you have to consider the power going through. You could blow a fuse using that relay or shirt a circuit. I can't imagine that it's set up to cope with the same power that the headlights will need.

Jazza, relays are rated at a minimum of 30 amps......
